Hosting My first session was exactly what I needed.

“When you stay on purpose and refuse to be discouraged by fear, you align with the infinite self, in which all possibilities exist.”
―Wayne Dyer

You know when you have been dreaming of something for so long, but when it actually happens you wonder why it was anti-climatic?

That was what the experience was like hosting my first group session, and it was perfect.

***

Having spent over six years as a coach, trainer and facilitator in various professional industries, hosting group sessions is just a part of my essence now.

But when it came to planning the first session, there were the constant questions of if I would be good enough, if people would even be interested, if anyone would want to come back for another session.

There were so many thoughts in my brain that when it came to the actual session, I was shocked that I wasn’t nervous in leading the actual group.

Instead, the experience of leading the group felt like coming home.

It felt like the moment I had been waiting for my whole life.

And in reality, it kind of is what I have been waiting for my whole life.

Because leading groups is what has always made me feel alive.

Even during moments of conflict, confusion, missed deadlines and personality problems - leading groups is the one thing that I would look forward to waking up in the morning to do.

So while it might seem obvious that leading a group of my own creation would be the easiest thing for me to step into - I still doubted myself.

It’s one thing to hold a banner for a different company and try to facilitate their ideals, but it’s a whole nother experience trying to share my own ideals with the world, and in turn create a world that I want to be a part of.

And now that the first session was a success, I can’t wait to dive in and see what all of my other hopes and dreams become in the real world.

More stories to tell, more questions to ask, more beautiful, simple chaos to explore.
